My boys and I made a quick pit stop in Shaniko on our way back Thursday. We saw this retired fire truck sitting out in the grass, and I couldn’t resist getting a shot with the town’s PR headquarters in the background. HDR done in Qtpfsgui and tweaked in GIMP.

Just got back tonight from traveling to White River Falls for the specific purpose of photographing the abandoned hydroelectric facility that’s there. Couldn’t resist processing something and uploading it before I went to bed tonight. In the coming days and weeks, I will process more, upload them, and create a set specifically from this trip.
Just for perspective, these turbines are about 9 feet in diameter.
