My journey through photography.

Robert Frost (1874–1963)

Looking over Crown Point along the Columbia River, taken from Portland Women’s Forum Viewpoint.

If you’ve ever only seen one picture of Oregon, it was probably taken at Multnomah Falls. It’s only about a 30 minute drive from downtown Portland, and is located right by the freeway, which makes it one of the most visited places in the state, if not the entire Pacific Northwest.

Abandoned farm truck somewhere in Eastern Washington. Ever feel like you just can’t go any further?

Some old farm machinery we ran across. It amazes me that, for some implements, the technology utilized to get the job done stays relatively unchanged over the years. The brand new set of rodweeders sitting down at the John Deere store work pretty much the same as the ones Grandpa pulled back in the 1940’s. One just costs a little more now.

I had the good fortune of taking a day last week to take photos with fellow Flickr member Mark Frisco. We had a great time exploring ghost towns and abandoned places of Central and Eastern Washington. Our last location of the day was at Moses Lake, right at sunset. I’m going to begin and end this series with the lake shots.
